Merry Christmas!

Between the chaos of moving, the holidays, etc. I'm thankful for the opportunity to get all of us together for a pretty good picture. Kayman wasn't having the best night so he wasn't up for smiling for the camera. We are so thankful for all the Lord has done in our lives this year. Can't wait to see what next year brings! Armando turned 17 in December and got his letter this year for Varsity Football at Colonial High. Kieran also celebrated her 6th birthday in December and is loving Kindergarten. Kayleigh now 3 1/2 has given us a very full year, lots of coloring on the walls, a trip to the ER & ICU, and the latest in one day was shorting out a TV by poring a juice box on it & putting pieces of tissue up her nose! But we sure love her spirit! Lastly Kayman is a fun 19 month old who loves to play with his sisters and explore. Dana our Golden still thinks she's a puppy at 7 years.

A day at the park. We tried to get to the Pumpkin Patch in our matching outfits, but it was closed. So Holden Park became our photo spot. Getting a group photo with faces smiling and facing forward became impossible. Oh well maybe next time!

From Baby to Big Boy

Kayman got his first REAL haircut. I took him someplace a couple months ago, but this lady over by COSTCO was AMAZING! Her name is Claudia and she works at the Hair Salon to the left of BigLots, $10!!!! And she even trimmed all around his ears, sideburns, & neck with clippers. Her ability to cut quickly with a less than happy child was amazing!
But WOW did Kayman go from being this little cute baby to such a handsome little guy!

Here is a cute video of Kayman & Kayleigh playing while Kieran was at school today. I love it when Kayman pulls his sister down the slide. They are so funny together. I'm glad Kayleigh has someone to play with while Kieran is at school.

Kieran's First Day at Kindergarten!

August 24th, 2009 marked the beginning of Kieran's future adventures in School!
We were blessed with Ms. Ana & Ms Pat last year in Preschool. This year Kieran has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Arce. Seems we have something going with teachers & A names!
Kieran has already met a little girl named Christina who looks a lot like her friend in South Carolina, Emi. She told me that only the boys were bad today in class. She thinks if her class is really good they win a popsicle party. She also told me that Mrs. Arce has a Treasure Chest full of Candy, and they only get it if they are really good!
She told me all of the rules today: keep your hands to yourself, raise your hand to speak, be quiet when someone is talking, & use walking feet in the class.
She did P.E. today and was surprised I knew what that was. She listened to a book about a racoon's first day at school. She told me they didn't have time for Math or Quiet time. They did get to go to the playground, and she told me all about eating lunch and having snack time. She was so cute this morning, she couldn't eat breakfast she was so excited!
Thank you Mrs. Arce for making it such a great first day for Kieran. She can't wait for tomorrow!

Ebay Baby!

Some pictures of Kayleigh modeling ebay clothing. Sales have really picked up for the month of August, as parents are getting ready for their kids to go back to school. The fairisle brown & jean outfit turned out so cute we decided to keep it! I found the jeans 3 months ago at one thrift store and the sweater on Wednesday, the whole outfit cost me $6! I think she looks so grown up!

Be Who You are

Kieran just told me that she heard a lady on the radio saying that you need to be who you are. So she said to me "Mommy you need to be who you are" I asked what she meant. She told me that no matter what your skin color is you need to be proud of who you are. She said just because I am a different skin color than her, Daddy, Kayleigh, and Kayman that I need to be proud of it. She said" You and Dana (our golden retriever) have the same skin color, so be proud!" Too funny, the dark one telling the white one to be proud of her color. I think she might have a lot to say as she gets older to dissolve prejudices! Thanks Kieran!

Today marked Kayman's 1st Tantrum. He's 15 months old and this is how it began. He was playing with the balloon you see in the video. He went to tackle it and it popped up and he hit the floor instead. He was upset and I went to console him. We hugged for a little bit, but then he squirmed around like he wanted to get down, only when I put him down he didn't want to. After holding and him pushing to get down I left him on the floor and that's where the video picks up. In total it lasted about 2 minutes till he discovered something better to do, and that was that. It's funny because I think the reason he was hiding is he was upset I was video taping him. Won't this be funny to play in about 10-15 years!

Laying over with Daddy!

Daddy had a 28 hour layover in Orlando yesterday so the 4 of us crashed his hotel room on International Drive. The girls got to sleep on a pull out sofa. They thought it was the coolest, good thing they don't weigh much as it would have been a long night for me!
We went swimming in the pool, walked around the hotel.
Went up and down the glass elevator.
And they all enjoyed their little sleep kits that came with ear plugs, spray, & best of all the eye patches.
Poor Daddy had to get up at 3:00am, but the hotel desk let us check out at 11:00am.

Kayman is getting better and better at walking. We are going to have his legs checked though as he seems to be not only pigeon toed but bow legged as well. I though the photo of him walking next to Daddy was so cute though. He looks like a mini Luis!

She had a small Dora party with family. She was very excited about the Bitty Baby clothes Grandma & Grandpa sent her. Abuela got her an Ariel Doll, and a Fisher Price Cash Register & Dora DVD from Mommy, Daddy, Kieran, & Kayman!

This is Kayleigh a week before her 3rd Birthday reciting the Bible Verse Kieran learned at LegoLand Adventure Week at our Church Fellowship Orlando. She did this all on her own just wanting to be like her big sister!

My little Graduate!

Kieran Graduated from St. Mary's Preschool on June 2nd and will go to Kindergarten in the Fall. You have to love the family picture, Kayman just woke up, and it wouldn't be a shot of Kayleigh unless she's doing something like showing her panties!
The other shot is so typical of a little sister wanting to be just like her big sister! SO cute.
Kieran's class put on a presentation with a few songs, reciting the Lord's Prayer and collecting their diplomas. Kieran got a digital camera from Grandma & Grandpa, so Daddy is a little worried about what she might expect to get when she graduates from High School. But it was a great lesson for Kieran. She has been saving for a "real digital camera", but has decided to tithe almost all of her earnings every week to church. I told her God would bless her, and He did. She would have had to save until October to get one, and Grandma got her one! You know what she said though after that..."Mommy now I'm going to save for a Cell Phone!"...I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Kayman's Photo session, Who needs Picture People!

Kayman had a home photo session with Mommy this evening. I have this outfit I will be selling on Ebay tonight from kate & cheryl a San Fransisco Boutique. It went pretty well except the one shot when he had enough. This is not an outfit I would put on him to go out as I am more a surfer/skater style Mom, but I thought it would make a great "old time" photo. I think I remember a picture of my Dad in a similar style romper. Kayman is cutting his top two teeth right now, thus the reason he was in such a great mood for his Birthday. I love this third picture with him saying Hi!

It's My Birthday & I'll cry if I want to!

Here is the video of Kayman's first birthday. Poor Guy he wasn't feeling well, but we thought if he tasted the cake he would get into it. Unfortunately he ended up wearing most of it on his face! We will try again later. Kayleigh did the same thing on her birthday!

Kayman's First Birthday

Kayman turned 1 today! I can't believe a year has gone by already! Still no walking, but as the third child Mommy really hasn't "worked" on getting him to walk by his first birthday! Daddy will come home Friday night and we will celebrate his birthday on Saturday. What amazing children I have. Kieran is in the video asking her brother to let her in, and Kayleigh, well she's on the roof of the pirate ship....where else would she be!
